Joe Budden Says He’s “Rooting” for Violence Toward Adin Ross Following Doechii Remarks

Joe Budden turned up the heat in the ongoing back-and-forth involving streamer Adin Ross and rapper Doechii with some sharp and controversial comments on a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast.

While breaking down Doechii’s track “Girl, Get Up,” Budden said he felt several lyrics were direct shots at Ross, pointing to earlier remarks made by Glasses Malone. Budden didn’t hold back.

“I do want to say I’m rooting for Glasses Malone to get all the Crips together to beat up [Adin Ross],” Budden said on the podcast. “I am. Sorry. ’Cause I think that’s who she was talking to on the song.”

Co-host Ice backed Budden’s take, saying, “Yeah. I didn’t know at first,” before noting that Ross’ own actions made things clearer. Budden went on to call out Ross’ comments about Doechii, adding:

“He was talking a little fuckety, little fuckety fuck.”

Ice doubled down, saying, “The more I looked into it, she was directly talking to him. Because he said some wild shit.”

“Yeah, he said a whole lot of bullshit,” Budden shot back, later adding, “It’s disgusting.”

Budden also made it clear he was backing Glasses Malone, who recently jumped into the situation to call out Ross over his repeated jabs at Doechii. “I like Glasses Malone saying what he said,” Budden noted. “And hopefully he meant it.”

The podcast segment comes after weeks of growing online tension between Ross and Doechii. After Doechii pushed back against claims that she’s an “industry plant” on “Girl, Get Up” featuring SZA, Ross took the lyrics as a direct shot at him and went off during a Kick livestream, unleashing a string of personal and misogynistic attacks toward the Grammy-winning rapper.

Glasses Malone quickly responded publicly, saying Ross had gone too far with his remarks.

“I don’t give a fuck if you think that shit dissing you,” Malone said in a video. “You not finna just be sitting up there talking shit that Black woman. On God, bro.” He went on to warn that if Ross kept it up, he would start “pressing” the people around him, stressing that Ross’ words had real-life consequences.

Ross later responded to Malone during a stream, brushing him off as a “fat simp” and claiming he would call the police if Malone ever tried to approach him. Malone clapped back soon after, accusing Ross of hiding behind protection and standing firm on his position. “What in the fuck make you think if I’m saying this on this fucking camera… I’m not running,” Malone said. “I’ll be right there when they show up.”

The situation has continued to escalate, with Ross later recording a diss track alongside fellow streamers that targeted several people, including Budden and Doechii. While Doechii hasn’t mentioned Ross by name, she recently posted a message on Instagram addressing her critics in a broader sense.
