Diddy’s Team Denies Claims That Staff Went Unpaid While He’s Behind Bars

A representative for Sean “Diddy” Combs has responded to reports suggesting that some of the embattled music mogul’s employees haven’t been paid while he remains incarcerated.

“The reports are misleading. Mr. Combs is in complete control of his personal and business finances,” said Juda Engelmayer in a statement obtained by Us Weekly. “Payroll and vendor payments are handled through standard business and accounting processes, with routine review and verification before payouts are made. There is no unusual restriction on finances and no basis for claims that payments are being improperly withheld.”

However, sources told TMZ that several attorneys working on Combs’ legal cases, along with other staff members, have allegedly gone unpaid. According to the report, at least one employee has reportedly resigned over the alleged lack of compensation.

Insiders claim that Combs’ finances are being overseen by business management firm Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, which closely monitors his spending. TMZ reports that even Combs’ family members are required to submit invoices to Tri Star if they exceed their budgets — and approval isn’t always guaranteed.

One alleged incident cited involves Combs wanting his family to have dinner together the night before his sentencing. When it came time to settle the bill, Tri Star reportedly requested an invoice, which was initially declined. The firm later reimbursed the individual who paid out of pocket.

Combs is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence, with time served, after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
