A newly surfaced clip shows DaBaby getting into a brief verbal exchange with a fan who appeared to be taunting him.
The video, which has been making the rounds on X, captures the rapper as he exits a Charlotte Hornets vs. Toronto Raptors game on Jan. 7. As DaBaby walks from across the court toward the exit, a man recording the moment can be heard singing the rapper’s hit song “Suge” before deciding to push things further to get a reaction.
“DaBaby, your shirt is little,” the man shouted while laughing. DaBaby initially kept it moving, but once the comment registered, he stopped and yelled back, confronting the man, who then confirmed the remark was directed at him.
In what he may have thought was an intimidating move, DaBaby appeared to ask nearby cheerleaders to lift him up so he could go after the heckler. The moment felt even more charged given the rapper’s history of very public altercations.
The situation ultimately cooled down when the heckler apologized, turning it into a humorous exchange, though it easily could have escalated if DaBaby had actually been hoisted up.
Elsewhere in recent DaBaby-related moments, the rapper showed his unwavering loyalty to the Charlotte Hornets by making a fan remove a Chicago Bulls jersey before taking a photo with him. At a Hornets game late last year, two fans asked for a picture, and DaBaby insisted the jersey come off before posing.
The fan quickly complied, earning DaBaby’s approval.
