Kendall Jenner doesn’t just listen to any rap—she’s pretty selective about what makes her playlist.
The model and The Kardashians star stopped by the Friday (January 9) episode of the In Your Dreams With Owen Thiele podcast, where she opened up about her music preferences. Around the 55-minute mark, Jenner shared how she feels about the current rap landscape.
“Rap right now is like not doing it for me. I love rap. I do. I love the genre and when it’s great, it’s great, but everything is sounding really repetitive to me,” she admitted.
The 30-year-old went on to say that Kendrick’s latest album, GNX, was “great.” “I love Kendrick and people who are… Tyler’s album [Don’t Tap the Glass], I think, is amazing,” Jenner added. “I think there’s people that are really pushing boundaries. … There’s a lot of intention.”
Jenner, who counts Tyler, the Creator as a friend, previously described him as “the most fun person to be around” and one of her “favorite people” while answering a fan question for GQ in 2024.
“‘I just wanted to know when you go home at the end of the day and you sit with yourself, how does it feel?’” Jenner asked in the clip. The question sparked laughter from the two-time Grammy winner, who affectionately called Jenner “the bro” while admitting he wasn’t quite sure how to answer it.
