Viral TikTok Star ‘Terri Joe’ Lands First Feature-Length Movie on Tubi

TikTok personality Kelon Campbell is making his jump to the big screen with a new movie headed to Tubi later this month, built around his viral character Terri Joe.

Campbell, widely known online as Psyiconic, stars in Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami, a film centered on Terri — his exaggerated take on a passive-aggressive, conservative, Christian, Southern white woman.

In the movie, Terri Joe witnesses a robbery at her workplace and flees to Miami to avoid the criminals determined to shut her up. Her escape leads her into unexpected encounters with gay Christians and drag queens along the way.

“In this wild farce, Southern Belle Terri Joe ventures to Miami to outrun wacky criminals and find a new church where she can atone for her sins,” the official logline reads.

Fans can also expect appearances from some of Campbell’s other popular characters, including Jeorgia Peach and Amethyst Jade.

Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami is directed by Dale S. Lewis and co-stars Chase Alan Garland, Andrew Romano, Dylan Bougis, Katie Keene, Rolin Alexis, Adam Crain, and Jasmine Hurt. The film is set to premiere on Tubi on Jan. 30.

Terri Joe: Missionary in Miami is part of Campbell’s partnership with Tubi through the Stubios Initiative, a program that included Issa Rae as a mentor.

Campbell’s Terri Joe has become one of TikTok’s most popular characters. During her TikTok Live sessions, she’s known for “rebuking” fellow creators and celebrities — including a memorable encounter with Madonna.
