Rihanna Gives a Nod to ASAP Rocky’s “Stole Ya Flow” Verse

Rihanna is showing support for longtime partner ASAP Rocky following the release of his new track, “Stole Ya Flow.”

The Don’t Be Dumb cut is widely believed to be a diss aimed at Drake, whom RiRi dated on and off between 2009 and around 2016. During that time, the former couple teamed up on songs like “Take Care” and “What’s My Name.”

Rocky and Rihanna have also collaborated musically, including on the “Cockiness (Love It)” remix, and she appeared in his videos for “Fashion Killa” and “D.M.B.” The couple now share three children — sons RZA, 3, and Riot Rose, 2, as well as their four-month-old daughter, Rocki Irish.

It looks like they’re also on the same wavelength musically. After Don’t Be Dumb dropped, Rihanna showed love to Rocky’s “Stole Ya Flow” on Instagram.

“First you stole my flow; so I stole yo’ bitch,” Pretty Flacko raps on the track, a line many fans took as a clear jab at Drizzy.

He adds elsewhere, “N***as getting BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame / Throwing dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game,” which some believe references Metro Boomin’s viral track “BBL Drizzy.”

Reacting to a post featuring the song’s visualizer, RiRi simply commented: “I meaaaannnn….!!!!”

Drake and Rihanna largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight throughout the 2010s, though the five-time Grammy winner publicly called her someone he’d been “in love with” for years while honoring her with the Vanguard Award at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards.

Now that Rocky is in the mix, the Harlem rapper recently hinted at tension with Drake during an appearance on The New York Times podcast Popcast. He suggested that their relationship shifted sometime after he opened for Drake on the Club Paradise Tour in 2012. Kendrick Lamar also supported Drake on that tour, though his own relationship with Drizzy has noticeably deteriorated over the past year.

“I just started seeing people who started out as friends and then became foes,” Rocky said, stopping short of naming Drake directly. “It seemed like they were unhappy for you and, you know, started sending shots. And I think that is what led to any of our misunderstandings, or whatever the case is.”
