A$AP Rocky has casually revealed a few of the producers Rihanna is really into — and they might even be collaborators she’s eyeing down the line.
While appearing on a recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, the rapper, who just dropped his new album Don’t Be Dumb, was asked how involved his pop superstar girlfriend is when it comes to shaping his music.
“Yo, she be encouraging me,” Rocky told the hosts. “Her style is so crazy, ’cause you wouldn’t expect her to like the people she fuck with. She fuck with Alchemist. That’s who she wanna work with.”
It’s not just the West Coast producer catching RiRi’s attention. According to Rocky, she’s also a big fan of Knxwledge, one half of NxWorries.
After the Joe Budden Podcast hosts got excited about the idea of Rihanna coming “out of retirement [to] do a Knxwledge and Alchemist EP,” Rocky smiled and teased, “Wait ’til you…,” before cutting himself off and adding, “Come on, gang. Watch.”
He quickly admitted he may have gone too far. “See, I shouldn’t even be doing all this ’cause now her fans, they gonna be all over me.”
Elsewhere in the same conversation, Rocky shared a few hints about the deluxe version of his new album — and subtly suggested that Rihanna could be involved.
When Queenzflip asked directly if he’d be bringing Rihanna “out of retirement,” Rocky didn’t give a straight answer. Instead, he laughed and smoothly changed the topic.
