Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has opened up about a frightening cervical cancer scare that’s now put her through serious medical testing and ongoing uncertainty about her health.
In an emotional TikTok posted Tuesday (Jan. 20), the 38-year-old shared that she’s been dealing with abnormal Pap smear results and precancerous cells for nearly four years, a situation that recently required her to undergo what she described as an “uncomfortable” colposcopy and biopsy.
“Results come back. Doctor calls me and he’s like, ‘Okay, not looking great,’” Snooki said around the 4:30 mark of the TikTok video. “He found cancerous cells on the top of my cervix where the opening is.”
The Jersey Shore star shared that her doctor told her she would need a cone biopsy under anesthesia as soon as possible for more testing.
She went on to explain that putting off appointments played a role in how things progressed. “The reason why my doctor’s on my ass all the time is because I waited. I waited on my damn appointments because I knew I might not get great results but also because I didn’t want to feel the pain. I didn’t want to deal with the stress of having to deal with all of this.”
“I’m terrified,” she admitted. “It’s scary, but we have to get it done because cervical cancer is nothing to joke about.”
Polizzi became visibly emotional when she opened up about the possibility of needing a hysterectomy if her second biopsy also comes back abnormal.
“Obviously, I’m done having kids but, as a woman, the thought of getting a hysterectomy is just sad and scary,” she said. “Getting the hysterectomy and then not being able to have kids, I think that’s what’s killing me. But whatever to keep me healthy and safe to be here for my kids that I have now,” she added, referencing her three children with husband Jionni LaValle, 38.
Elsewhere in the video, Snooki used her experience to urge others to take their health seriously.
“Being a woman is not easy and this is definitely a scary thing. I know I’m going to be fine,” she said. “Just making this video to spread awareness to make sure you get your pap smears. And if your doctor calls you to do it again: do it. Make sure you’re fine and prevent all the bad things that could happen, like cervical cancer.”
Following the post, her Jersey Shore castmates flooded the comments with messages of love and support.

“Love you! You got this,” Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola added.
