Ariana Grande Reacts With “Holy S**t” to Six-Fingered Vogue Japan Cover

Ariana Grande was both shocked — and amused — after Vogue appeared to give her six fingers on her latest magazine cover.

Grande is featured front and center on the cover of Vogue Japan, posing with one hand pressed against a wall. Fans were quick to notice that in the image — which has since been corrected — she appeared to have an extra finger. The mistake sparked speculation online that AI, which is often criticized for struggling with hands, may have been used to touch up the photo.

Rather than taking issue with the edit, Grande leaned into the moment, reacting with surprise and humor.

“Holy shit,” she wrote on Instagram. In another comment under the post, the singer added, “oh goodness how exciting ! i’ve been saying I need some extra appendages so that i can start an album ! thankful for this.”

With Vogue Japan giving her an extra finger, Grande joked that she might need to request another body part if she plans to release more music. Earlier this month, she shut down rumors about new music coming soon, saying she’d need another brain to pull that off.

After fans began speculating online that she was gearing up for a release ahead of her Eternal Sunshine Tour—based on comments she made in a recent interview—Grande took to Instagram to clarify.

“Welp, I never said ‘but soon enough’ or mentioned any months! lol my goooooodness,” she wrote in one comment, before managing expectations.

“Ma’am i would need an extra brain and four more arms,” she added in response to another fan.

In other Ariana Grande news, the singer has earned two nominations at the 2026 Grammys for Wicked: Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for “Defying Gravity” and Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.
