Brooklyn Beckham’s billionaire father-in-law, Nelson Peltz, is sharing his thoughts on the ongoing tension within the Beckham family.
On Tuesday (Feb. 3), while attending the WSJ Invest Live event in West Palm Beach, Florida, Peltz was asked about 26-year-old Brooklyn publicly calling out his parents, David and Victoria Beckham.
“My advice is to stay the hell out of the press,” he said, according to TMZ, before adding with a laugh, “Has my family been in the press lately? I haven’t noticed at all.”
Peltz also had kind words for the couple, noting that Nicola and Brooklyn are doing well and saying he looks forward to them “having a long, happy marriage together.”
His remarks come after Brooklyn went public last month with a string of Instagram Story posts in which he accused his parents of years-long manipulation and dishonesty.
“I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private. Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he wrote at the time. “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
In later posts, Brooklyn alleged that his parents carefully crafted a public image that didn’t reflect his real-life experience, claiming family narratives were shaped to protect what he described as a “facade.”
A large part of his frustration centers on his wedding to Nicola Peltz, 31. He claimed his parents pressured him to sign away the rights to his name shortly before the ceremony, tried to “ruin” the marriage, and consistently treated Nicola like an outsider.
Brooklyn also detailed moments he said were deeply humiliating, including an incident where his mother allegedly took over his planned first dance at the wedding. He wrote that he had “never felt more uncomfortable or humiliated,” adding that the experience caused lasting emotional harm.
