Shia LaBeouf and his wife, actress Mia Goth, reportedly went their separate ways last year — five years after getting back together.
The pair first connected in 2012 while filming the erotic drama Nymphomaniac Vol. II and entered a serious relationship, though they briefly split in 2018. They later reunited in 2020, two years before welcoming their daughter, Isabel. According to Page Six, LaBeouf and the MaXXXine star tied the knot during a Las Vegas ceremony in 2016.
A 2018 report from Page Six noted that the actors had filed for divorce at the time, describing the split as “amicable.” By 2020, however, the two were seen wearing their wedding rings again.
Neither LaBeouf nor Goth has publicly addressed the reported separation. The news comes shortly after LaBeouf was arrested early Tuesday morning (February 17) following a physical altercation in New Orleans.
The Disturbia actor was reportedly “causing a disturbance” and becoming “increasingly aggressive” on the 1400 block of Royal Street during Mardi Gras celebrations.
Footage circulating online shows the 39-year-old being knocked to the ground and punched multiple times before he was taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. LaBeouf was later arrested and charged with two counts of simple battery. He is currently being held without bond at Orleans Parish Prison in Louisiana and was scheduled for a court hearing at 3 p.m. local time today.
“Investigators say a man ide. “A staff member attempted to eject Mr. LaBeouf from the establishment. Once removed from the building, the victim reported being struck by LaBeouf, who used his closed fists on the victim several times.”
“Multiple people attempted to hold him down,” the statement added. “He was eventually let up in hopes that he would leave, but he reportedly again struck the same victim with closed fists to the victim’s upper body. LaBeouf then reportedly assaulted another person, punching him in the nose. LaBeouf was again held down until police arrived.”
