Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s long-running feud flared up again last year, and Nicki’s alleged financial support of Tasha K could stir things up even more.
After losing a defamation lawsuit to Cardi B, Tasha K has been working to raise funds to cover the judgment against her. According to reports, she received some help from Cardi’s rap rival, Nicki Minaj — something she didn’t hesitate to celebrate.
Livebitez captured Tasha’s reaction on Twitter, where she appeared stunned during a TikTok livestream. “For real? Nicki just gave me a thousand dollars?” she said, referring to the alleged donation. “Seriously? […] Thank you, Nicki! It was $3,000?! No way. No way! […] We’re transferring that to the GoFundMe. We planning on being out of this bankruptcy in one year, baby. […] Nicki, you got to hit the GoFundMe, baby.” She also reacted to claims that TikTok takes a percentage from donations made through the app.
She later hopped on Twitter to publicly thank the rap star. “Thank you to the Queen @NICKIMINAJ for the GENEROUS donation on Tik Tok today!” Tasha K posted on Friday, March 20. “God is Good! All the time! Now we about to start some good old Phuckery Friday on YouTube!! Search UnwinewithTashaK everywhere.”
“Shout out to the Queen, Nicki Minaj, for giving me a generous donation on TikTok!” she added during an episode of her Unwine With Tasha K show, as shared by Red Media on Twitter. “Thank you so much, Queen! Yeah, she popped in my TikTok live, throwing money. Just throwing money like I was a stripper. Lady, give me that money, I need that. We got bills to pay. I had a 15-year plan, and I can keep it. But my freedom of speech is being affected, and I don’t like that. I got a big mouth and I got to use it.”
From there, Tasha showed appreciation to fans who encouraged her to set up donation platforms to help tackle the Cardi B debt. Now, it remains to be seen whether this involvement from the Trinidadian superstar will spark further tension with her Bronx rival.
Nicki Minaj and Cardi B’s feud dates back to the mid-to-late 2010s, when Cardi was rising fast and Nicki felt she wasn’t getting enough recognition. Since then, the rivalry has included alleged run-ins and plenty of social media jabs. Most recently, things heated up again after the release of Cardi’s AM I THE DRAMA? album last year.
