Fat Joe’s Accuser Withdraws Allegations Involving Minors

Terrance “T.A.” Dixon’s revised lawsuit against Fat Joe now centers on claims of coercion into sexual activity, unpaid wages, and lack of proper credit.

The rapper may also need to revisit his defamation case against Dixon, as the updated filing drops some of the most serious accusations from the original complaint. According to Billboard, Dixon’s legal team submitted an amended lawsuit on Thursday, March 26, removing allegations involving minors and RICO violations.

Dixon—Joe’s former hypeman—initially came forward last year with claims of sex trafficking, racketeering, and fraud. He alleged that he had “personally witnessed” the rapper engage in sexual activity with underage girls.

However, the amended complaint no longer includes those accusations. Instead, Dixon maintains that Fat Joe violated the Trafficking Victims Protection Act, claiming he was manipulated into working under him and pressured into non-consensual sexual acts.

The lawsuit also leans more heavily into financial disputes, with Dixon accusing the New York rapper of withholding payments and failing to credit him properly as a co-writer on several songs.

Dixon’s attorney, Tyrone Blackburn, has not yet responded to requests from Billboard regarding the removed allegations. Meanwhile, Joe’s lawyer, Jordan Siev, shared a statement with the outlet:

“Their decision to now voluntarily amend Mr. Dixon’s complaint — removing all allegations involving transporting of minors, statutory rape and RICO — and recast this matter primarily as a financial dispute about royalties and wages allegedly owed only reinforces that the allegations were baseless and that Mr. Cartagena is the one being targeted.”

Fat Joe previously filed a defamation lawsuit against Terrance “T.A.” Dixon and Tyrone Blackburn, claiming their accusations were part of an alleged extortion attempt. According to the suit, Dixon had threatened legal action over what were described as “grotesque” fabricated claims while allegedly seeking a payout. The Terror Squad leader’s legal team also argued that the allegations were “nothing more than an elaborate shakedown to extract money from him.”

Now, that defamation case is set to proceed in court after receiving backing from a federal judge. At the same time, Dixon and his legal team are working to challenge the ruling, hoping to have the case dismissed.
