Coi Leray is clearly head over heels.
The “Twinnem” rapper recently appeared on Baby This is Keke Palmer, where host Keke Palmer got her talking about her relationship with Justin Laboy.
“I didn’t expect to be in another relationship anytime soon,” Leray confessed, subtly referencing her past with Trippie Redd. “I was very focused and locked in. Still very focused and very locked in. Coming from my last situation, I’m like, ‘Nah…me, my daughter, just work, nothing else. I am a robot. Don’t talk to me. Don’t talk to me.’ That’s how my mind was.”
Coi Leray and Justin Laboy first crossed paths when he interviewed her on #Respectfully: The Justin Laboy Show last September—and according to Leray, the chemistry was instant. She said they “locked eyes so crazy” the moment they met.
“He gave me mad flowers,” she added, admitting she had no idea what to expect before meeting him. “I didn’t know what he looked like. I just knew that, ‘Okay, I’m coming to release new music. It’s time to promote.’”
After their first meeting, Laboy made his intentions clear. Leray shared that he definitely “applied pressure,” but she kept her distance for a few weeks.
“He kept hitting me up. He’s like, ‘Yo, I want to take you out. I want to take you out,’” she recalled. “And I’m like, ‘No, Justin. You’re not about to run a move on me. I don’t have the mental capacity to get my feelings hurt.’”
However, Coi Leray eventually gave in, and the two finally went out on a date.
“I think I fell for his personality. He’s the most funniest person ever. He’s such a good vibe. He’s such a good time,” she shared. “Now that we’re together, I’ve gotten to experience the way he pours into me.
“And I think that was the main thing that I fell in love with because I’ve never been with anyone ever that poured into me the way he did. It doesn’t feel like a competition. It doesn’t feel like there’s ego there. He doesn’t care if I’m more successful as an artist. And I don’t care if he’s more successful in media.”
The two first sparked dating rumors back in September when Justin Laboy posted a photo with the caption, “My coi.” Around that same time, Leray appeared on his show and hinted she was “entertaining somebody.” By late January, Laboy confirmed they were still going strong, sharing a photo of them kissing on his Instagram Story. Then in February, the couple appeared together for a Valentine’s Day episode of #Respectfully: The Justin Laboy Show.
Before Laboy, Leray had a short-lived romance with Trippie Redd in 2019, before reconnecting in August 2024. On Jan. 1, 2025, the two revealed they were expecting their first child together—a daughter.
