Ruby Rose has accused Katy Perry of sexual assault, sharing her account of the alleged incident.
The 40-year-old Orange Is the New Black actress also said she recently went to the police regarding the claim.
The situation began after Rose reacted to a post about Katy Perry’s response to Justin Bieber’s Coachella set, where the singer said, “Thank God he has Premium. I don’t wanna see no ads,” while watching from the crowd.
In response, Rose wrote on Threads, “Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a shit what she thinks.”
She went on to claim, “After it I threw up on her. I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it. Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn’t a good person. Instead I got attacked by.. everyone.”
When another user referenced Perry’s song, writing, “She kissed a girl and you didn’t like it?,” Rose responded with a more detailed allegation.
She also addressed questions about why she hadn’t previously filed a report, explaining that she hadn’t pursued legal action at the time but suggested she may now be taking that step.
Rose later confirmed her intention to go to the police, saying she would see if any of her experiences could still be investigated, despite concerns about time limitations.
Hours afterward, she shared an update, writing, “I did it,” and told another user she had just left the police station.
She added that she felt relieved but cautious moving forward, while also expressing gratitude to others who have come forward with their own experiences of abuse.
As of now, Katy Perry has not publicly responded to the allegations.
