Hip-hop fans, get ready—Eminem wants to make a long-awaited joint album with 50 Cent a reality. Inspired by the recent success of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s collaborative album Missionary, the Detroit rap icon is calling for him and his longtime collaborator to finally get in the booth together.
During a Christmas Day appearance on the Whoo’s House podcast, hosted by DJ Whoo Kid, Em expressed his enthusiasm for the idea. When asked about the potential project around the 21-minute mark, the rap legend didn’t mince words.
“It’s a great idea,” Eminem said. “We just need to stop bullsh***ing and do it. I would never say it’s not possible.”
This isn’t the first time Em has floated the idea of teaming up with Fif for a full-length project. Nearly a year ago, on the same podcast, Eminem expressed his eagerness to collaborate with the G-Unit boss, urging him to release another album.
“Yo, I’m trying to get him to make another album so bad,” Em said at the time. “We need another 50 album, like, really bad, bro. He’s been on a roll since the tour, and I told him, whatever he needs from me, I’m here. That sh** would be crazy though—an album with me and him.”
Eminem and 50 Cent have a long history of making hits together, including fan favorites like “You Don’t Know” and “Crack a Bottle.” Most recently, the duo appeared alongside Dr. Dre on “Gun Smoke” from Dre and Snoop’s Missionary. In a recent Complex cover story, Snoop and Dre explained the significance of the collaboration, calling it a moment of mutual appreciation and brotherhood.
“That’s Dr. Dre’s all-star team,” Snoop said. “All three of us love Dre’s production, and we all felt like we needed a record together. It just made sense.”
Dre echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the unbreakable bond between the trio: “We all show up for each other. None of us has ever said no to each other.”
While no official plans for an Eminem and 50 Cent joint album have been confirmed, the excitement is clearly brewing. If the stars align, fans could witness two of hip-hop’s heavyweights come together for what would undoubtedly be a historic project.
