Kate Cassidy was in a relationship with Liam Payne for nearly two years before his passing in October 2024.
Now, about a year and a half later, she’s taken to TikTok to share that she’s open to finding love again.
“I think that love after loss is a big chapter within your grief journey and I don’t know how that’s gonna feel,” she shared in the April 24 video. “But what I do know is that I loved being in love. I want to have kids one day. I want to have a family, and I know Liam Payne would want that for me, and if the roles were reversed I would want him to be happy and fall in love again.”
She also made it clear that her love for him isn’t going anywhere, no matter what the future holds. “I am probably going to—not even probably, I’m going to think about Liam on my wedding day,” she said. “I’m going to think about him every day for the rest of my life, and that goes without saying.”
She added, “I wanted to make this video because I wanted to express how important it is to really remind your loved ones how much you love them. I know I say it, but you never know what tomorrow brings.”
The clip has already racked up over 300k likes, with fans flooding the comments to show support. One person wrote, “You are so strong, Kate. You deserve to experience love again. Your vulnerability is so inspiring and I’m sure is helping so many people who are also navigating love after loss.”
Others couldn’t help but notice a sentimental detail—her necklace shaped like an “L.” “The L necklace has me in tears,” one commenter shared. “You have all of Liam’s true fans’ support.”
