According to TMZ, Monty Lopez, the father of Addison Rae, was booked on April 28. The 50-year-old is now facing a felony charge for possession with intent to distribute marijuana after allegedly being found with a large quantity of it.
Police were initially called to his home on April 23 for a mental health-related situation, but the visit reportedly escalated into a criminal investigation. His mugshot has since surfaced, showing him in an orange shirt.
This isn’t his first run-in with the law. Per Us Weekly, Lopez was arrested in 2024 at a Walgreens in Lafayette, Louisiana on an obscenity charge. Then again in July 2025, he was taken into custody for “exposing his genitals, pubic hair, in a public place or place open to public view, or in any prison or jail, with the intent of arousing sexual desire or which appealed to the prurient interest or was patently offensive.”
In the past, Rae has opened up about her complicated relationship with her dad. “From about 3 to 6 for me … Dad wasn’t really in my life very much. I’m sure that was personal decisions on your part with Dad,” she said to her mom during a 2020 episode of That Was Fun? With Addison & Sheri. “You guys, I’m sure, kind of established that, like, ‘Hey, we’re gonna need some space. We need to have our time to figure things out.’”
According to Just Jared, Sheri Easterling previously filed for sole custody of the 12-year-old son she shares with Lopez. “During the court proceedings, documents revealed multiple alleged instances of abuse throughout their marriage, including an allegation that Monty once slapped Addison across the face with an open hand,” the outlet reported.
The former couple share three children—Addison, Lucas, and Enzo. They first tied the knot in 2002, later divorced, remarried in 2017, and split again in 2022.
