Brooke Hogan is putting the rumors to rest, calling the latest chatter about her personal life “mean and hateful.”
The singer and TV star took to Instagram to address claims that she had “a thing” with her Rock the Block co-star, Scott McGillivray. Brooke shut it down completely, reminding fans that she’s married to former NHL player Steven Oleksy, while McGillivray also has a family of his own.
“People looooove to speculate,” she wrote, per People. “There’s been a lot of people commenting… suggesting we have a ‘thing’ going on. And honestly, it’s just mean and hateful.”
To make her stance crystal clear, Brooke Hogan shared photos of Scott McGillivray alongside Steven Oleksy and their twins, joking, “If you’re worried about anyone, worry about my hockey player husband stealing his sweet Canadian heart.”
McGillivray, who’s been married to his wife Sabrina since 2008, chimed in with a playful reply: “I never fed Brooke like this! Just Steve.”
The speculation picked up as Brooke and McGillivray quickly became standout competitors on Season 7 of Rock the Block, the hit HGTV series where celebrity duos partner with design experts to transform identical homes. Their undeniable on-screen chemistry has translated into multiple wins, placing them ahead of the pack.
Brooke’s comments come at a time when she’s been opening up more about her personal life, family relationships, and the legacy of her late father, Hulk Hogan.
Recently, she called out Netflix’s Hulk Hogan: Real American docuseries, saying it was “missing 98 percent of real life” and failed to dig into the deeper realities behind his public image.
She’s also revisited past controversies, including the fallout from Hogan’s leaked sex tape, recalling, “What about us? We were the subject of it,” and describing the ordeal as “the most embarrassing thing in the world.”
At the same time, Brooke has spoken candidly about her estrangement from her father before his passing in July 2025, along with her regret over removing herself from his will.
She explained that the decision ultimately left her without a say in how his legacy is managed, adding, “It’s not about money… it’s about doing the right thing.”
