Forbes recently unveiled its Richest Self-Made Women of 2026 list, with both Rihanna and Beyoncé earning spots among the elite.
The two global superstars are tied at No. 39, each boasting an estimated net worth of $1 billion. While they share the same ranking, the primary sources of their wealth differ. Beyoncé’s fortune is largely attributed to her success in media and entertainment, while Rihanna’s wealth is heavily linked to her investments in fashion and retail through the Fenty brand.
According to Forbes, much of Beyoncé’s wealth stems from her three-decade career in music, beginning with Destiny’s Child before evolving into one of the most successful solo careers in the industry. She officially reached billionaire status in 2025, with her Cowboy Carter tour playing a major role in boosting her earnings and securing her place on the list.
Rihanna’s path to billionaire status also includes her music career, but a significant portion of her fortune comes from her ownership stake in Fenty Beauty. The cosmetics company, which is co-owned by LVMH, has become a powerhouse in the beauty world and remains a major contributor to her financial success.
Beyond Beyoncé and Rihanna, several other high-profile names earned spots on Forbes’ Richest Self-Made Women of 2026 list. Kim Kardashian landed at No. 25 with an estimated net worth of $1.9 billion, while Taylor Swift secured the No. 23 spot with a fortune of $2 billion. Media mogul Oprah Winfrey ranked even higher at No. 15, boasting an estimated net worth of $3.4 billion.
Topping the list is Diane Hendricks, co-founder of ABC Supply, whose estimated net worth stands at an impressive $21.7 billion.
