PlaqueBoyMax has gone viral after being kicked out of the 2026 FIFA World Cup quarterfinal clash between Norway and England.
On Saturday (July 11), the popular streamer was livestreaming from the stands at Miami Stadium while wearing a Norway jersey when a heated exchange with nearby England supporters escalated, forcing stadium security to step in. Fellow streamer Jasontheween was also escorted out.
Footage from the incident shows Max seated directly behind an England fan who initially attempted to keep the peace. Tensions flared after the fan accused Max of spitting on him, an allegation the streamer denied. The argument quickly intensified and nearly turned physical before security stepped in and removed Max from the stadium.
The drama in the stands unfolded against the backdrop of a thrilling match. England secured a 2-1 extra-time victory over Norway to book a place in the World Cup semifinals, though the contest was overshadowed by several controversial officiating decisions.
Jude Bellingham leveled the score in first-half stoppage time with a goal that Norway insisted should not have counted, arguing the ball had struck a spidercam cable during the buildup. FIFA later released a statement saying its Connected Ball sensor detected no contact with the cable.
Norway thought it had regained the lead in the 55th minute through Torbjørn Heggem, but the goal was ruled out following a VAR review. Referee Clément Turpin determined that Erling Haaland had fouled England midfielder Elliot Anderson in the buildup. Bellingham then found the net again early in extra time to send England through.
Norway head coach Ståle Solbakken was visibly frustrated throughout the match, even throwing a water bottle toward a member of his staff after Bellingham’s equalizer. A Norwegian commentator also blasted the officiating, declaring, “football and VAR should go to hell.”
With the victory, England moves on to the World Cup semifinals, while PlaqueBoyMax’s tournament experience came to an unexpected and premature end.
