Nipsey Hussle’s Estate Introduces Prolific Clothing Line Ahead of the Rapper’s First Posthumous Album

Nipsey Hussle’s estate has introduced a new apparel collection named after the late rapper’s upcoming posthumous album, Prolific.

Released on Monday (July 27) through Nipsey’s Marathon Clothing brand, the collection marks the first official line centered entirely around archival images of Nipsey rather than the broader streetwear style that previously defined Marathon Clothing releases.

“The family is proud to present the Prolific brand,” the estate shared in a statement. “Every piece was created with intention, using moments that reflect who Nipsey was and what he stood for. We’re proud to finally share this collection with the world.”

While earlier Marathon drops focused heavily on traditional streetwear, Prolific transforms each item into a tribute to Nipsey’s legacy. The collection features handwritten designs, signature fonts, and motivational messages inspired by his journey as an independent artist, his business mindset, and his dedication to South Los Angeles.

The collection includes heavyweight T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, zip-up jackets, hats, and exclusive silhouettes, arriving just weeks before the release of Nipsey Hussle’s first-ever posthumous album.

Announced earlier this year alongside the lead single “Reckless,” Prolific is a 15-track collaborative project recorded with longtime collaborator Bino Rideaux. The album is scheduled for digital release on August 14, followed by vinyl and cassette versions.

Hussle and Rideaux previously teamed up on their first project, No Pressure, which was released in 2017. Two years later, Nipsey Hussle was tragically killed outside the former Marathon Clothing Store in the Hyde Park/Crenshaw area on March 31, 2019. The Grammy-winning rapper was 33 years old.

Since his passing, Nipsey’s posthumous appearances have included collaborations with artists such as Jay-Z on “What It Feels Like” and Big Sean on “Deep Reverence.”
