What could have turned into another Rap feud instead ended on a surprisingly positive note. During a recent livestream, Doja Cat praised BIA’s collaboration with Fred again.., prompting viewers to remind her that BIA had allegedly thrown shade at her in the past. Doja, however, had no interest in revisiting the drama.
“I don’t give a f*ck about that,” Doja told viewers. “I’m not in high school. I’m a 30-year-old woman.”
She made the comment while playing BIA’s music and praising her performance on the Fred again.. track, calling it “so f*cking nasty.”
Doja’s remarks eventually caught BIA’s attention. The next day, the rapper reached out to her on X, offering a public apology and acknowledging any role she may have played in their rumored tension.
“THANK YOU @DojaCat,” BIA wrote. “I genuinely apologize for anything i ever said that was shady. I appreciate u playing my songs. I’ve always liked your music as well. Wishing you nothing but peace love and blessings.”
Doja responded warmly, writing, “No worries hope you’re having a good day.”
The rumored tension between the two dates back several years. Both Doja Cat and BIA appeared on the 2020 remix of Cousin Stizz’s “Perfect,” and speculation about a rift began circulating around that time. However, the exact comments BIA allegedly made have become difficult to verify, as older posts and secondhand claims continue to resurface online.
Rather than revisit the past, Doja chose not to dwell on who may have said what. She has previously spoken out against efforts to create unnecessary feuds between women in Hip Hop, and this time she appeared more focused on celebrating the music than revisiting years-old controversy. BIA’s ongoing feud with Cardi B, however, remains far from over.
