Gunna Reflects On Three Years Of Consistent Gym Work: “I Don’t See Myself Stopping”

Gunna has spoken about how fitness has become a key part of his daily routine.

The Atlanta rapper graces the latest cover of Men’s Health and, during a companion Gym & Fridge episode, opened up about his intense workout schedule and approach to nutrition. Around the seven-minute mark of the video, The Last Wun artist explained that his commitment to staying active comes down to “discipline” and pushing himself every single day.

“I got to go to the gym. I’ve been doing it for three years straight and I don’t see myself stopping,” Gunna said. “So just staying on myself, being hard on myself, showing up for my trainer, my trainer showing up for me.”

Earlier in the episode, Gunna revealed that his diet is centered around healthy staples, including green juices, seeded grapes, ginger shots, salmon, and nutritional supplements. In the accompanying Men’s Health feature, the rapper explained that fitness and healthy eating weren’t emphasized while he was growing up.

“We were not taught fitness like that,” he said. “You got to be, like, that one who really didn’t go and hang out with the other friends… It wasn’t for everybody. You stayed in the backyard and played basketball. You kept going to practice, to the football field. It wasn’t for everybody.”

As he continues prioritizing both his physical and mental well-being, Gunna has also created a sense of community through his Wunna Run 5K series. The initiative debuted at Brooklyn’s Prospect Park in September 2025 and has since expanded to cities including Atlanta, London, Johannesburg, Los Angeles, Toronto, Washington, D.C., and several other locations around the world, attracting thousands of participants.

Reflecting on what inspired the event, Gunna told Men’s Health, “I started running for my mental health to block out whatever the outside world. I think it just kind of like triggered me into getting that runner’s high. But you just get out, you get to running and love finishing the job.”
