‘Harry Potter’ Star Jessie Cave Opens Up About Plastic Surgery as a “Business Decision”

Jessie Cave was candid about her decision to undergo plastic surgery. The actress, widely recognized for portraying Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter films, described her recent breast augmentation as a “business decision,” with the procedure paid for using income from her increasingly successful OnlyFans account.

Cave launched her OnlyFans page in March 2025 with a very specific approach: non-explicit content centered around her long hair. Her content includes brushing, styling, and costume videos rather than nudity. However, after spending more than a year on the platform, the 39-year-old started wondering whether her hair-focused content would be enough to keep subscribers interested. “Part of me realized I’m not going to last a year on OnlyFans with what I’ve got,” Cave said, per People. “My hair can only do so much.”

The decision had already proven to be a major financial win. Cave said she made more than £15,000—around $20,200—on her first day, far exceeding what she initially thought she could earn. She turned to OnlyFans while struggling to find acting opportunities and searching for a way to provide for her four children. “I thought I’d make five grand, be on it for a few months and it would buy me time to work out what we’re going to do,” she said. “But it’s now been over a year and a half, and it’s genuinely saved our lives.”

Even so, Cave recognizes that her unconventional approach to OnlyFans could eventually hit its limits. She doesn’t appear nude or even speak in her videos, which leaves her with fewer options to grow the content without crossing the personal boundaries she’s established. “I don’t know how long I can last if I don’t start giving more,” she said. “The bottom line is I can’t afford to stop and I do enjoy a lot of it. There’s a lot that I don’t enjoy too.”

Cave initially revealed she was considering the procedure in January on her Before We Break Up Again podcast. At the time, she joked about potentially allowing subscribers to pick her cup size in a video where she modeled bras stuffed with socks.

Her straightforward move into subscription-based digital content is another surprising chapter in a career that began with one of Hollywood’s biggest movie franchises. Cave made her Harry Potter debut in 2009’s Half-Blood Prince as Ron Weasley’s deeply affectionate girlfriend, Lavender Brown, before returning for both Deathly Hallows installments.

She went on to appear in Great Expectations and Pride, while also building a career in stand-up comedy and performing solo shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Beyond acting and comedy, Cave is an illustrator and author. Her published work includes the cartoon collection Love Sick and the 2021 novel Sunset.

For Cave, however, the surgery wasn’t solely about keeping her OnlyFans business going. She explained that pregnancy and breastfeeding had also significantly changed how she felt about her body after having four children. “They haven’t been mine in so long, because they’ve either been breastfeeding or recovering from pregnancy or [being] pregnant,” she explained. “My boobs were last mine at 26.”
