Timbaland Hit With Lawsuit By DJ Claiming Producer’s Son Replaced Him on Tour

A six-figure touring deal connected to one of 2024’s biggest Hip Hop arena tours has sparked a contract dispute involving Timbaland. DJ E Feezy is suing the producer and Mosley Touring, alleging he lost $120,000 in expected income after being removed from Missy Elliott’s Out of This World tour less than a month before it kicked off. He believes he was replaced so Timbaland’s son could take over his spot. Timbaland, however, disputes the claim that a binding agreement existed as outlined in the lawsuit.

According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, E Feezy was hired to DJ during Timbaland’s segment of the tour and says he was set to earn $4,000 per show, totaling $120,000. He claims he had already started preparing for the run by rehearsing the planned set, obtaining authorization to work in Canada and covering related legal costs. E Feezy also says he turned down other opportunities because he expected to be on tour throughout July and August.

His preparation later became part of the damages he is seeking after he was dropped shortly before the tour began. E Feezy alleges that Timbaland’s son eventually took his place, prompting the DJ to describe the situation as nepotism. While that claim may explain why he believes he was removed, the main legal issue is whether E Feezy had a binding agreement and whether he was entitled to payment after his services were no longer required.

The dispute allegedly continued even after his dismissal. E Feezy claims the parties later agreed to a settlement, but says Timbaland failed to follow through on its terms. He is now seeking roughly $130,000 in damages, which TMZ reports includes the tour earnings he expected to make as well as expenses related to securing his Canadian work authorization.

Timbaland is reportedly challenging those claims on several fronts. He has requested that the lawsuit be dismissed, arguing that no enforceable agreement existed under the terms outlined by E Feezy. The producer has also filed a complaint against his former manager, who he says handled the negotiations with the DJ. Timbaland maintains that if E Feezy is found to be entitled to any money connected to the matter, his former manager—not him—should be held responsible.

E Feezy’s lawsuit now asks the court to determine whether his preparations for the tour were based on an agreement that Timbaland and Mosley Touring were legally required to honor. Timbaland insists they were not, making the existence and enforceability of the alleged deal the central issue in the case.
