Day four of the trial involving Duane ‘Keffe D’ Davis is now in progress, with prosecutors presenting evidence they say connects him to the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed 2Pac.
Keffe D, the only defendant in the case, could face life in prison if convicted. He previously pleaded not guilty in 2023 to one count of murder with a deadly weapon, with the intent to promote, further, or assist a criminal gang.
The trial has so far featured testimony from people who responded to the fatal drive-by shooting or had connections to 2Pac. Former Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer Garry Dale took the stand on Monday (Aug. 17) and testified that he had pulled over Pac and Suge Knight on the night of the shooting.
Dale also revealed that he rode in the ambulance that transported 2Pac to a nearby hospital and heard some of the rapper’s final words.
Prosecutors have alleged that 2Pac’s entourage assaulted Keffe D’s nephew, Orlando Anderson, on the same night as the drive-by shooting.
