It’s been a packed year for A$AP Rocky, from dropping his new album, Don’t Be Dumb, to embarking on an international tour. At the same time, he has opened up about some of his philanthropic efforts and his interest in potentially getting involved in politics. While the latter may remain just talk, Rocky has made it clear that he wants to use his platform and resources to make a difference for others.
His latest initiative is tied to the Roc Nation School of Music, Sports, & Entertainment at Long Island University. The rapper has announced a full four-year scholarship for one student to attend the school. The award will give an incoming freshman the chance to earn a four-year degree at the Roc Nation School while gaining an educational experience that combines classroom learning with hands-on opportunities and career development across the entertainment industry.
“I’m a big believer in creating your own lane and giving people the opportunity to do the same,” said A$AP Rocky. “There are so many talented young people with ideas, ambition and something important to say. This scholarship is about helping one of them turn that vision into something real.”
The scholarship covers full tuition, one-on-one mentorship with leading industry professionals, automatic access to Roc Nation’s extensive academic and mentorship program, and hands-on training in a Pro Dolby Atmos Studio.
Applications are currently open through December 15th, 2026. Eligible applicants must be planning to enroll as first-time freshmen for the Fall 2027 semester.
Rocky’s new scholarship adds to the growing list of celebrities and entertainment figures who have established similar programs to support students over the years. Megan Thee Stallion, DJ Khaled, and DJ Guru have also launched scholarship funds aimed at helping the next generation of talent gain valuable academic knowledge and hands-on industry experience.
