Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ Exes Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig Are Engaged

Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are getting ready to tie the knot after finding love following the end of their respective marriages to former Good Morning America co-anchors Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes.

The Melrose Place actor, 59, and the Atlanta-based attorney are engaged after Shue popped the question earlier this spring, according to People.

Reflecting on their romance, Shue spoke about how an unexpected friendship eventually blossomed into something much more meaningful.

“I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending,” Shue said, adding that he and Fiebig are “very grateful and hopeful” about what lies ahead.

Their love story began under unusual circumstances. Shue and Fiebig first connected as friends in 2022, around the time Robach and Holmes’ workplace romance became public.

The former ABC News co-anchors made headlines in November 2022 when photos of them together surfaced, sparking widespread interest in their personal lives. Both eventually divorced their respective spouses, while Robach and Holmes left GMA3 in January 2023.

As Shue and Fiebig dealt with the breakdown of their marriages, their friendship slowly developed into a romantic relationship. The pair started dating in 2023, with their relationship becoming public that December.

At the time, a source told Page Six that their bond had “turned into something else, and they’re connected over their values. It’s bigger than the affair now.”

The couple eventually made their red carpet debut in December 2024 and have since moved in together.

Fiebig, who married Holmes in 2010, shares a daughter, Sabine, with the television personality.

Shue also reflected on the personal transformation he underwent after his divorce, speaking candidly about the difficulties of rebuilding his life and opening his heart to love again.

“I had to grow through a lot of pain and a lot of struggle and a lot of humility,” he told People. “I think the magic of love is when you go from a need to giving.”

Meanwhile, Robach and Holmes have also moved toward marriage. The couple announced their engagement on their Amy & T.J. podcast in October 2025 and have reportedly considered keeping their wedding small and intimate.

Shue and Fiebig were reportedly named on an early guest list for the ceremony, though neither was expected to attend.
