Drake’s OVO brand is teaming up with hockey icon Wayne Gretzky for their newest collection, dubbed “The Great One.”
The October’s Very Own fashion line took to Instagram on Thursday, January 2, showcasing their fresh collab. They dropped pics of Gretzky rocking one of the varsity jackets, along with shots of the full line featuring hoodies, crewnecks, tees and more.
“October’s Very Own and The Gretzky Hockey School are pleased to announce a continued partnership—Celebrating the Great One’s legacy and passion for the game by shaping the next generation of hockey’s brightest stars. —Be Great.,” OVO announced in one post.
The “October’s Very Own x The Great One” collection is live now on OVO’s website. This marks Drake and Gretzky’s second collab, with their first one dropping in 2022 when Gretzky’s family showed off the brand’s classic black and gold owl hoodie.
“The Great One” isn’t just a random title – it’s Gretzky’s famous nickname earned during his legendary 20-year NHL career where he snagged four Stanley Cups. The hockey icon still holds some mind-blowing records, including most goals in a season (92), most assists (163), and most career points (2,857).
Meanwhile, Drake’s got everyone talking about his new freestyle “Fighting Irish,” where fans think he’s taking shots at LeBron James. The track drops several hints that seem to point at LeBron, including references to his high school team’s name and a specific watch with Arabic numbers he’s known for wearing.
