Nelly Rumored to Hit Stage at Trump Inauguration Ball

Reports say Nelly’s lined up to rock at one of Donald Trump’s inaugural events.

According to CBS News, the rapper’s slated to perform at the Inaugural Liberty Ball Monday (Jan 20), coming after Trump’s swearing-in ceremony and presidential parade, plus other scheduled activities. Trump’s also hosting two other big parties – the Commander in Chief Ball and the Starlight Ball.

In a twist of fate, Nelly’s reported performance links back to his 2000 hit ‘Country Grammar (Hot Shit)’ where he asked Trump to ‘let him in.’ Looks like he’s finally getting that wish.

Word is Nelly’s one of several artists set to perform for the President-Elect.

The lineup’s shaping up with Carrie Underwood taking on “America The Beautiful” at the swearing-in, while opera talent Christopher Maccio handles the National Anthem.

The Village People are also reportedly joining in – fitting since their hit “YMCA” is a Trump rally favorite.

Kid Rock and Billy Ray Cyrus are confirmed to perform at the inauguration events too.

After his Trump gig, Nelly’s hitting the road for the Where The Party At Tour alongside Ja Rule and Eve, kicking off late July.
