Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song rarely spill the tea about their relationship, but they got candid in a special sitdown.
The pair opened up about their married life, parenthood, and work during Cosmopolitan‘s latest cover interview.
“We talked about eloping,” Brenda shared with the magazine. “But I was like, ‘If we eloped, my mom would have a heart attack that she wasn’t going to be there….'”
Culkin got down on one knee in 2022, after five years of dating Song. Since then, they’ve become parents to two little boys – Dakota, 3, and Carson, 2.
“That the public is like, ‘Wait, they’re together and they have kids?’ Good. That means we did our job,” Culkin shared.
Song couldn’t help but marvel at her life’s turn: “There was a point in time where I was like, ‘I must be in a simulation! I have two children with Macaulay Culkin!'”
The lovebirds first crossed paths through their buddy Seth Green in 2014, before fate brought them together again in 2017 on the set of indie flick Changeland. Both know what it’s like growing up in the spotlight – Brenda rose to fame on Disney’s The Suite Life of Zack & Cody while Macaulay became a household name with the Christmas favorite, Home Alone.
During his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in December 2023, Culkin poured his heart out to his bride-to-be.
“You’re my champion,” he gushed, “the only person happier for me today than I am. You’re not only the best woman I’ve ever known, you’re the best person I’ve ever known. You’ve given me all my purpose. You’ve given me family.”
Song’s latest work includes Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl with Pamela Anderson, and she’s set to team up with Kate Hudson in Mindy Kaling’s Running Point. As for Culkin, you can catch him next in Season 2 of Prime Video’s Fallout.
