Drake switched things up during his Perth show this week while performing “Nonstop” from Scorpion.
The original version of the track includes Drake, who’s on his Anita Max Win Tour, with a LeBron reference in the first verse:
“How I go from 6 to 23 like I’m LeBron?”
At his Perth show, though, Drake flipped the line to say:
“How I go from 6 to 23 but not LeBron, man”
This line switch isn’t shocking to fans, considering Drake’s “Fighting Irish” freestyle was thought to be about his strained relationship with LeBron. Word is, LeBron might have tried reaching out to Drake before the track dropped, but supposedly got no response.
LeBron was caught on video at his 40th birthday bash vibing to Kendrick Lamar’s “Man at the Garden.” The timing’s spicy since Kendrick and Drake were going at it with diss tracks throughout 2024. Back in June, LeBron showed up at Kendrick’s The Pop Out show in Inglewood, where K-Dot performed his Drake diss “Not Like Us” several times. That same track just cleaned up at the Grammys, snagging five awards including Best Rap Song.
Drake’s keeping busy with his Anita Max Win Tour, hitting Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland next. Meanwhile, LeBron’s staying quiet about Drake’s Perth lyric switch-up.
