Upon hearing about powerhouse producer and label boss Irv Gotti’s passing on Wednesday, his old nemesis 50 Cent shared his thoughts.
50, who had already poked fun at Gotti when word spread that the Murder Inc. Records co-founder was reportedly on life support from a stroke, jumped back on Instagram with more taunts.
“I’m smoking on dat Gotti pack, nah God bless him LOL,” 50 posted, adding a photo of Irv in the second slide.
50’s latest jab follows his earlier mocking post when rumors circulated about the record exec being on life support. “Damn, I wanted him to see my new shows yo!” he wrote on a post sharing the supposed news.
Earlier in 2024, when word got out about Gotti’s stroke, 50 hit Instagram to mock him, sharing a pic of Gotti using a cane. “Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?” 50 wrote, pulling lines from his 2002 track “Wanksta.” “I want Irv to get well, so he can have to watch my next wave LOL.”
The bad blood between 50 Cent and Gotti runs deep, going back to the early 2000s when G-Unit and Murder Inc. were at each other’s throats. 50’s ongoing beef with Ja Rule from that era also spawned “Wanksta,” which 50 says was aimed at Ja.
