Cardi B hit up Instagram Sunday to drop some heavy news about her uncle’s deportation, though she kept the details under wraps.
After the Eagles shocked everyone by beating the Chiefs, Cardi jumped on IG to vent about the wild security situation at the New Orleans game. Her new track “Toot It Up” with Pardison Fontaine might’ve just dropped, but it was Trump’s presence at the game where K-Dot headlined that had her heated.
“Yo, I was too fucking mad today because, you know, Donald Trump and shit,” Cardi said in an IG video. “He was at the Super Bowl today and they was giving us a hard time. Oh my gosh. The Secret Service was not playing at that motherfucker. The Secret Service was not playing to get in that motherfuckin’ stadium. Oh my god.”
Cardi explained the chaos messed up her expensive shoes.
“This shoe cost me three bands,” Cardi said. “All ’cause of Trump. Now I like him lesser. Now I like him lesser because you didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl. Fucking up my shoe. … Now he’s gonna have to, well, he definitely ain’t gon’ do that, bring my uncle. . . back because my uncle got deported.”
She didn’t say more about the security drama or her uncle’s situation, including when he was deported.
For context, Trump’s been going hard on immigration since taking back the White House in January, signing multiple orders. AP reports say daily immigration arrests are up by hundreds compared to Biden’s time. Last month alone, ICE swept up nearly 1,200 people in just one day, according to NBC News.
Cardi’s never been shy about her political takes, especially during the 2024 election drama. She wasn’t feeling either Trump or Biden at first, saying it was like “pick the lesser evil.” After Biden dropped out, Cardi backed Kamala Harris for the Democratic ticket, though Harris ended up losing to Trump in November.
