Boosie Badazz got spicy with his post-Super Bowl LIX takes, including a harsh comment about tennis legend Serena Williams.
The day after the big game (Feb. 10), the Louisiana rapper jumped on X to back Drake in his beef with Kendrick Lamar. Earlier, Boosie had been heated that other NOLA icons like Master P or Birdman weren’t picked for the halftime show.
“JUST IMAGINING HOW DRAKE FEEL AFTER BOOSTING SO MANY ARTIST CAREERS WITH HIS FEATURES N THOSE SAME MFS AINT GOT SHIT TO SAY POSITIVE ABOUT THIS DUDE,” Boosie wrote. “THATS WEAK ASS FUCK TO ME ON GOD, IF I WAS DRAKE NOBODY COULD EVER GET ANOTHER FEATURE FROM ME #onbleek”
In another wild take, Boosie suggested Williams still isn’t over Drake (who she reportedly dated from 2011 to 2015) because she was spotted C-walking to Kendrick’s Drake diss track “Not Like Us” during the halftime show. Never mind that Serena’s been happily married to Alexis Ohanian since 2017 and has two daughters with him.
Boosie wrapped up his rant with a backhanded shout-out to K-Dot’s show, but stuck to his guns about how “LOUISIANA HAD ENOUGH ARTIST TO DO THEY OWN LINE UP.”
Though Boosie’s suggesting Serena’s holding onto old feelings, it’s actually Drake who’s thrown shade at both Williams and her husband Ohanian more than once – dropping hints in his 100 Gigs footage and taking shots at Ohanian on Her Loss track “Middle of the Ocean.” During that 100 Gigs video, Drake even told his mom Sandi Graham that his 2016 hit “Too Good” was all about Serena.
