Armie Hammer Remembers Feeling ‘Nothing’ During Makeout Session With a Man: ‘Not Even a Twitch… Flaccid’

Armie Hammer gave Grindr a shot before giving up on bicuriosity altogether.

The actor-turned-podcaster dropped a new episode of his Armie HammerTime podcast on Sunday (March 2), where he chatted with guest mental health coach Dani Druz about his one-time attempt at cruising.

From 2010 to 2023, Hammer was married to reality star Elizabeth Chambers, with whom he has two kids. While he didn’t clarify if he tried hooking up with a man during their marriage, Hammer has stirred controversy for cheating on Chambers with multiple women, some who’ve accused him of having cannibalistic fantasies.

“I tried hooking up with a dude one time. It was hilarious because I was like, ‘You know what, women are the worst,'” the Call Me By Your Name star told Druz around the 14-minute mark of the video above.

“Gay dudes seem to have it so easy, like so easy,” he continued. “I’m at a restaurant, my phone blows up and it’s like Grindr and someone else is like, ‘I’m at the same restaurant do you want a blowjob in the bathroom?’ and you’re like, ‘Hey guys, I’ll be back in five minutes.'”

Hammer went on to describe a hypothetical scenario where gay men could simply return to dinner as if nothing happened after a hookup, which prompted him to give it a “try.”

But when Hammer met a “handsome” French guy, he changed his tune. “God, beards,'” he thought. “‘Like, I get it why women like it when you shave. This thing is fucking rough, how do I get in there?'”

When Hammer tried getting close to the man, it felt physically intimidating since his shoulders were “so big,” and they were about the same height. “And it did physically for me, absolutely nothing. Not even a twitch,” he added.

Even as things got “hotter and heavier,” Hammer still wasn’t aroused even when the man tried touching his “flaccid penis.”

“‘This is not going to happen. I’m sorry,'” he said.

Hammer explained how he ended the makeout session: “I was like, ‘I’ve got to stop this here.'”

Last month on The Louis Theroux Podcast, the actor referenced his controversial past sex life, claiming that texts from an ex referring to him as a cannibal were just jokes.

“Sometimes when you’re involved with a person and you’re dating and you guys are having sex and you are a bit of a provocateur,” Hammer said in the episode. “And you are exacerbated by alcohol or drugs or anything like that, it’s fun to ruffle feathers and it’s fun to push the envelope little by little.”
