Another Spider-Man cast member has popped the question.
Jacob Batalon proposed to his longtime girlfriend, Veronica Leahov on Wednesday in New York City. Photos of his proposal show him down on one knee in front of a heart-shaped flower arrangement, with the NYC skyline as the backdrop and a neon sign reading, “Will you marry me?”
He captioned the Instagram photo collection, “The beginning of the rest of our lives together.”
Leahov was visibly stunned; photos show her covering her mouth with her hand before saying yes.
“A lifetime of us!!!!” she wrote on IG. “I never imagined my heart could hold so much love and feel such depth of emotion. This is the purest happiness I’ve ever known, and I can’t wait to spend forever with the love of my life!!”
According to TMZ, Leahov works as an architectural designer. Batalon has been appearing in Spider-Man films since 2017, playing Peter Parker’s best friend Ned Leeds. That year, he debuted in Spider-Man: Homecoming, then returned for 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War, 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Earlier this year, rumors spread that the actual Spider-Man was engaged. Speculation started circulating about Zendaya and Tom Holland in early January when the Dune star was spotted wearing an engagement ring at the Golden Globes.
Sources later revealed that Holland proposed during the Christmas-New Year holiday period. His father, Dominic Holland, eventually confirmed the news on Patreon.
“Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared,” Dominic wrote. “He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear.”
