Khloé Kardashian doesn’t want her daughter, True, to feel let down thinking she isn’t married to her dad, Tristan Thompson.
During the newest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, Kardashian shared that their daughter True believes her parents are still together.
The conversation happened while Kardashian was driving with her bestie, Malika Haqq, while getting ready for her 40th birthday bash. The friends were talking about being single when Kardashian mentioned True thinking her parents are married.
“True thinks me and Tristan are married,” Kardashian said.
“It’s just probably better for her. It’s not like she would really understand,” Haqq suggested. “It’s okay.”
“It is the right thing to do. In my opinion. Get married, have kids. That’s what I want to teach her,” Kardashian replied.
In a confessional, Kardashian explained that she doesn’t want her daughter “going through life thinking this is what a marriage is.”
“That you’re married to someone and they don’t live with you and you never have to kiss them, or you don’t sleep in the same bed together,” she explained.
Kardashian mentioned she hopes her kids will “one day” see her with a husband who gives her “love and affection and romance.”
“I do want them to have that. And when she’s older, I can explain it to her,” Kardashian shared. “But right now, I believe you do things for your kids because kids should not be involved in adult problems.”
Throughout their relationship, Thompson cheated on Kardashian multiple times, with the NBA player fathering a son with Marlee Nichols in December 2021.
Kardashian and Thompson were together on and off from 2016 to 2021 and share True, 6, and a 2-year-old son, Tatum.
