David Hasselhoff Speaks Out After Former Wife Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff’s Passing

David Hasselhoff has released a statement following the death of his ex-wife, Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, who passed away at 62.

On Wednesday night, Bach-Hasselhoff was discovered dead at her Los Angeles home. TMZ reported that she apparently died by suicide from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. However, the Los Angeles medical examiner hasn’t yet released an official cause of death.

“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” Hasselhoff said in statement to People. “We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

The pair were married from 1989 to 2006 and have two daughters together, 34-year-old Taylor and 32-year-old Hayley. While neither daughter has directly commented on their mother’s death, Hayley shared an old photo of her parents from 1996 on her Instagram Story with a white heart emoji.

The couple first crossed paths on the set of Knight Rider when she guest-starred in the mid-’80s. After tying the knot in 1989, Bach-Hasselhoff made appearances on Baywatch and The Young and the Restless, among other TV shows.

The Hasselhoffs welcomed their first daughter Taylor in 1990, followed by Hayley in 1992. The pair split in 2006 and received joint custody of their children. Hasselhoff later married model Hayley Roberts in 2018.
