ASAP Rocky took a moment during his Rolling Loud performance in Los Angeles to show love to immigrants and those affected by the city’s recent fires.
Mid-show, the rapper paused after seeing his diverse audience. “I see unity. I see so many types of people. I see so many different colors,” Rocky told the crowd.
“I would like to dedicate this show to anybody that was affected by those fires,” he added. “To anybody that was affected by the immigration laws. My heart goes out to you.”
Though ASAP Rocky claimed in a 2015 interview that he “didn’t sign up to be no political activist,” his recent Rolling Loud performance suggests he’s now more willing to speak up about social issues.
