“Panda” hitmaker Desiigner has officially entered dad life.
On Monday (March 31), the Brooklyn rapper revealed in an Instagram post that he and his girlfriend, Joyce Bryant, just welcomed a baby boy. The couple first shared their baby news last November with a video showing them celebrating alongside family and friends with a gender reveal cake.
Fatherhood marks a positive new chapter for Desiigner, following some tough times for the former G.O.O.D. Music artist. He was arrested in April 2023 and charged with indecent exposure after masturbating on a flight from Tokyo to Minneapolis. Desiigner later tried to explain the incident during an appearance on No Jumper, bizarrely claiming it happened because he was vegan at the time.
“I didn’t know what I was doing,” he said in the clip below. “I was fully tweaked out of my mind. This was when I was vegan; I didn’t have enough sugars and stuff like that… I was kind of, like, out of my body.”
“It really wasn’t who my character was,” he added. “I was on medication and just went to sleep on the plane.”
Although Desiigner avoided having to register as a sex offender, he got hit with a $5,000 fine and was put on two years of probation.
