Alicia Keys insists that she and Swizz Beatz have never had a fight during their nearly 15-year marriage.
TMZ bumped into the songstress in New York City and asked what she says to skeptics who don’t buy that they’ve never quarreled all these years.
“I have no idea what anyone’s talking about. Me and my baby is on fire,” she told the outlet.
Swizz first revealed last month that he and Keys have never argued thanks to their strong communication.
“Marriage is definitely a big word, but look at it like your best friend,” the producer and Verzuz co-founder told Us Weekly. “The communication is there. We’ve never had an argument. Since we’ve been together, our kids [have] never seen it; never seen us raise our voice [or] never seen us yell. Never seen us curse at each other. Why? Because of communication.”
He mentioned they do “disagree on things” but it never gets heated.
“When you yell at each other, no one is really listening anyway. Nothing gets solved in each other’s yelling,” Beatz added. “People think they can own people. You can’t. It’s not property that you own. There’s a whole human, right?”
The power couple will mark their 15th wedding anniversary this July. They have two sons together, 14-year-old Egypt and 10-year-old Genesis, and Beatz also has three kids from previous relationships.
