Lizzo threw shade at President Donald Trump during her latest Saturday Night Live appearance.
This past weekend, Lizzo made her comeback to the show and seized the opportunity to criticize Trump’s tariffs.
While belting out a mix of her hits, including “Love in Real Life” and “Still Bad,” Lizzo rocked a black t-shirt with “TARIFFIED” emblazoned in red letters.
She later reappeared at the show’s conclusion alongside host Jon Hamm sporting another black shirt that declared, “BLACK WOMEN WERE RIGHT.” This guest spot on SNL marked Lizzo’s first since 2022 and her fourth overall.
The 36-year-old also took advantage of her time on the show to hype up her forthcoming album, Love in Real Life. Just last month, Lizzo announced the album was finished with an Instagram post that highlighted her recent achievements.
“ALBUM IS DONE YALL!” she wrote beneath a photo of herself in the studio. “ASTROLOGY EXPERTS Do my mercury got micro braids? Cus I got an emergency root canal, announced SNL & finished my album all in one day today.”
Lizzo’s previous album, Special, dropped in 2022 and landed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. That project was spearheaded by the single “About Damn Time” which climbed to Billboard Hot 100 No. 1.
