Drake Declares ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ Among His Favorite Projects ‘Because Nobody Believed’

For an artist, picking a favorite album must be like a parent choosing a favorite child. But that didn’t stop Adin Ross from putting Drake in exactly that position.

During his gambling stream with Ross, around the 59:00 mark in the video above, Drake clearly stated that Nothing Was the Same is his favorite album, but also mentioned Honestly, Nevermind because “nobody believed.”

“I don’t wanna downplay any album. Every album is just like turning the page,” the 6 God explained. “It’s not gonna be what it was in Chapter II, you know? Maybe don’t think of it like that. Maybe think of it like…it’s not gonna be what it was like when you first met Harry Potter.”

Drake dropped Nothing Was the Same back in 2013, which shot straight to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and produced smash hits like “Hold On, We’re Going Home,” and “Worst Behavior” among others. The project also featured some major collaborations with big names including Jay-Z, Sampha, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean.

Drizzy unleashed Honestly, Nevermind in 2022, taking his sound in a completely different direction with inspiration from House, Baltimore club, Jersey club, and techno genres. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and its standout rap track “Jimmy Cooks” featuring 21 Savage also landed at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
