Julia Louis-Dreyfus Had No Clue Who The Rizzler Was Before That Photo

Julia Louis-Dreyfus was completely clueless about The Rizzler when they snapped that photo that went viral. The actress, who most people outside the MCU know from her legendary roles on Seinfeld and Veep, owned up to her confusion during a chat with Buzzfeed Canada.

She confessed she had zero idea about the young social media star’s identity when she posed for a picture with a “nice child” at a special Thunderbolts screening in New York City.

“I really didn’t know that,” Louis-Dreyfus admitted when told about The Rizzler, who’s blown up online for his signature “Rizz Face” expression. “No offense to the nice child, I didn’t know who he was. So there you go.”

Louis-Dreyfus then spilled some behind-the-scenes tea about their encounter.

“He was pretty cute because he showed me his moves,” she shared. “He was dressed like Red Guardian, so I told him to show me your moves, not knowing he was The Rizzler.”

The Rizzler, whose real name is Christian Joseph, posed for a pic with Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Lewis Pullman, and Florence Pugh at the premiere. That photo has only added to the nine-year-old’s growing fame on TikTok, where he’s already racked up more than 1.6 million followers.

Thunderbolts landed in theaters on May 2. Marvel’s newest superhero flick, which follows five anti-heroes taking on a mysterious baddie called The Void, has critics calling it one of the studio’s best films in recent years.

While reviewers aren’t claiming it’s flawless, the dynamic between Yelena Belova (Pugh) and Red Guardian (David Harbour) plus its take on mental health issues are being praised as standout elements.

Thunderbolts is expected to pull in $70-$75 million at the box office for its opening weekend in the United States and around $175 million worldwide.
