Kodak Black made a surprise appearance at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday to catch the year’s biggest horse race, where he had a run-in with a fan who disrespectfully demanded a photo.
A now-viral picture shows Kodak at Churchill Downs surrounded by derby-goers decked out in their fancy attire, complete with elaborate hats. Sporting a massive smile and holding a chalice with a skull on the front, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper seemed to be having an absolute blast.

Black posted his own video from the Kentucky Derby, where he described a bizarre encounter with a woman who tried to force him into taking a photo with her. In a clip of him talking to someone offscreen about the interaction, he revealed what the woman said to him.
“Hey you, what’s your name?” Black recounted. “Fuck you, take a picture. Let me get a picture.”
The rapper knew better than to engage with such disrespect, as shown by the disbelieving look he gave the person he was talking to offscreen. “I kept walking,” he said.
A few weeks back, news broke that Kodak quietly covered rent for hundreds of residents in the Golden Acres community of Pompano Beach, Florida. In response, his attorney Bradford Cohen jumped on Instagram to praise the rapper’s generosity as “doing what he does best, giving back to the community.”
“He’s done so much that isn’t even in the press,” Cohen shared. “Paying for funerals and kids’ college funds, law school education, food, air conditioners during heat waves, supporting fallen FBI agents even when one of their own has continually harassed him.”
