Kid Cudi Reveals Response to Diddy Allegedly Torching His Porsche: ‘What the F*ck…’

Kid Cudi testified on Thursday in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial, where he was questioned about the mogul allegedly destroying his car in 2012. Diddy was reportedly angry that Cudi and Cassie Ventura had a relationship.

“What was your reaction to your car being set on fire?” the prosecution asked Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, according to Inner City Press.

“What the fuck,” Cudi replied.

During earlier questioning, the Insano artist disclosed that his dog’s babysitter contacted him and informed him his “car was on fire.”

After viewing images of his vehicle, he noted, “The damage to my Porsche from the Molotov cocktail.”

He also disclosed that they managed to get the incendiary device into his car by cutting a “hole…in the roof” of the vehicle.

Cudi then stated he believed the fire was “intentional” and not accidental. At some point, he met with Diddy at Soho House to resolve their dispute, where Cudi inquired about his car.

“[Diddy] said, ‘I don’t know what you are talking about.’ I walked away,” Cudi said.

Cudi and Diddy encountered each other a few years afterward, where the Bad Boy Records founder offered an apology. “He said, ‘I’m just sorry for all that bullshit.’ I was surprised, so I found peace with it,” Cudi told the prosecution.

Cudi and Cassie had a brief relationship in 2011 after the singer and Diddy had separated. Based on Cudi’s testimony, in January 2012, he got a call from his dog’s babysitter informing him that his car was burning in his driveway.

A month earlier, in December 2011, Cudi said he contacted police following an alleged break-in attempt. That morning, he had received a call from Cassie, who told him Diddy had discovered their relationship. Cudi then phoned Diddy, who reportedly said, “‘I’m over here waiting for you.'” Cudi later expressed he wanted to “fight” Diddy because the break-in made Cudi’s dog feel “jittery.”

Last week, Cassie testified that Diddy ordered Cudi’s Porsche to be destroyed, stating that Diddy “wanted Scott’s friends to see Scott’s car blown up,” according to Inner City Press. She said that shortly before Christmas 2011, Diddy physically attacked her after he “found an email” during a “freak-off” sex party that suggested she had a relationship with Cudi. She said the three of them met soon afterward.

“[Cudi] said, What about my vehicle? And [Diddy] said, What vehicle? And that was the end of the meeting,” Cassie said, mirroring Cudi’s testimony.

Ventura initially raised this allegation in her civil lawsuit in 2023, claiming that Diddy became furious when he learned that she and Cudi had dated. Speculation about the incident spread in 2012, but it wasn’t until November 2023 that a spokesperson for Cudi confirmed Cassie’s account of the alleged car explosion in a statement to The New York Times, saying, “This is all true.”
