Young Thug apparently isn’t happy about Kid Cudi testifying in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
According to TMZ, Young Thug supposedly posted on X Thursday, May 22 after Cudi’s testimony, where he claimed that Diddy torched his car and allegedly invaded his home because of his brief romance with Cassie in 2011. Thugger, who dealt with his own lengthy RICO trial that finally ended with his release last year, posted in the quickly removed tweet, “Dam cudi a rat lol.”
It’s uncertain whether this represents Thug backing Diddy in the trial, which began after the Bad Boy Records boss faced accusations of sexual misconduct and abuse in numerous lawsuits. Last month, Young Thug’s trial attorney, Brian Steel, joined the criminal defense team representing Diddy, however. Given that Steel managed to secure Thugger’s freedom last year, he might be showing support for his lawyer.
After Kid Cudi’s testimony, Steel called for a mistrial over a question he considered “outrageous.” Steel made several objections when Cudi faced questioning from prosecutors, arguing that it was “outrageous” for them to ask whether Diddy has had other people murdered. Despite the objection, that line of questioning wasn’t pursued.
In a brief video shared on social media after his court appearance, Cudi expressed gratitude to his fans for their support.
“Hey guys, so I, I just wanna say, man, I’ve been seeing all the love and support, and I just wanna say thank you so much, man,” the rapper explained. “People have been hitting me up the past week just checking in and, and even today, and I just, it really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y’all. This is a stressful situation.”
