Phyllis Robertson Thomas, the “long lost daughter” of Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson, shared a heartfelt Father’s Day tribute as she marked her first one without him.
“Father’s Day feels different this year,” she wrote on Instagram Sunday, June 15. “It’s my first without my dad here, and I miss him deeply. But even in the ache, I see God’s goodness in the men around me—my husband, and now my son as he raises two sons of his own. What a gift to witness the love, strength, and faith passed down from one generation to the next.”
Thomas discovered in 2019 that Phil Robertson was her biological father after they both took a DNA test. Robertson, who had four sons with his wife Miss Kay, was unaware he had fathered a daughter decades earlier.
In 2024, Robertson was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, and his health declined in the months that followed. The family announced his passing in late May.
The day after his death, Thomas shared several touching photos and wrote, “These are just a small glimpse of the countless moments we hold dear. We’re truly moved by the overwhelming love and prayers shared by so many whose lives were impacted by Dad. We wish we had more time, but we have overwhelming joy knowing he has met Jesus face to face.”
Fans quickly flooded her comments with messages of love and support.
